Ask Sam!
Posted on 08 Jul 2008 @ 09:44
Kim here. I've been talking to Sam and we've decided to have a Q&A session here at the blog! All you need to do is comment on this post with a question for Sam and in her next blog entry, she'll answer as many of them as she can! Please remember, however, that anything too personal will *not* be answered! So what are you waiting for? Ask away!! NOTE: Two questions in and we've already been asked twice about season 4 of Supernatural! Please dont post the same question over and over again - there will only be one answer!! EDIT! No more questions please!! Sam has enough to keep her occupied for days here As soon as she gets a chance, she'll post with her answers! Thanks for all your questions!
Hi Sam! Hope all is going well for you. Any news on the Supernatural Front? I heard they're bringing back several former guest stars for the 2nd episode of the fourth season. Is it possible one of them is Ellen? By Shadow @ 08 Jul 2008 10:51 am Ooh, that's a great idea. Thanks for the opportunity. I would like to no whether she is in talks coming back for the 4th season of Supernatural? By Maja @ 08 Jul 2008 10:57 am Cool! I asked Jared this as well so... I was wondering who her 'OMG, I can't believe I met ___? or OMG I can't believe I'm working with __? (fill in the blank) By Linda @ 08 Jul 2008 11:19 am Amazing idea. When I met her at Asylum I was so happy. Sam, you were great over here. My question is also about fan meetings. Was there ever a situation when you really realized 'Oh my god, you are doing this for me?' Like something special a fan did or gave to you? One moment where you thought 'Wow, for those people I am a star?' (and not in a bad way) Thank you a lot for doing this. By Rabea @ 08 Jul 2008 11:38 am Re Acting as a profession and acting as an artform: To be sure, it's a job. Hard work, too. Some actors of my acquaintance think of themselves as artists (with all the baggage that goes with that) while others consider themselves craftsmen, or technicians (it is frequently called 'the craft' after all). How do you approach your Has there been a role, or a scene, or a line, that you found suprisingly meaningful? To yourself, or a fellow actor, or to the audience? (I think you've now learned of just how much it means to us, the scary audience.) Something that changed how you thought about what it is you do? By Karasu @ 08 Jul 2008 01:10 pm we obviously enjoy all the tv shows/movies you're in, but what tv shows/movies do you enjoy? By Nikki Holly @ 08 Jul 2008 01:43 pm I second this being an awesome idea! I noticed in a previous blog you'd made, that you volunteered at a horse rescue (May 25th entry). What lead you to volunteer at a horse rescue? It's something I haven't had an opprotunity to do yet, but look forward to doing later in my life! By Morgan @ 08 Jul 2008 03:32 pm Hi Sam, this is Jaylan, a fan from Egypt I hope this isn't too personal but how old were you when you first fell in love? What's your philosophy on love, life & death? Which movie would you go to if only those ones were available, the chronicles of Narnia:Prince Caspian, LOTR (any part), Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince or Incredible Hulk, & why did you choose that film specifically? have a wonderful time & take care By Jaylan @ 08 Jul 2008 03:58 pm Hello Sam, Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer questions for us! I was wondering if you could tell us Which was your favorite episode to film of the 4400 and Supernatural? Thanks again! By Saber @ 08 Jul 2008 05:06 pm AWESOME! I'm so exciting to forward your Q&A session... I am so glad that I met you at Chicago and Florida! you are wonderful and amazing actress ever I saw it! Here is my questions: 1.) If you back supernatural season 4th then are you planning to be hunter like winchester boys? 2.) What is the most of experience that you spent with fans at the convention? I try my best to ask you those question. :) I hope you understand my question. oxox & hugs, Elisa (P.S. I hope you and Kramer doing well!) By Elisa @ 08 Jul 2008 05:19 pm Hey Sam I want to get away from SN and fan convention questions. Do you ever do live theatre? If yes, what sorts of things have you done? Rachel By Rachel @ 08 Jul 2008 06:19 pm Sam, How did you get involved with the horse charity you work with? Also, what's the name? By Kat C. @ 08 Jul 2008 06:52 pm Hi Sam! You were one of my favorite guests at EyeCon. I was wondering if there was any chance you'd do it again? By Ashley @ 08 Jul 2008 07:46 pm What's the story behind your acting career? I mean, for some people it is fate, others work and persevere for it. How did it happen for you, long road, or quick fate? BTW This is really cool! By Brianna @ 08 Jul 2008 08:06 pm What one thing about acting did you wish you knew before you actually started persuing it as a career? By KC @ 08 Jul 2008 08:20 pm Sammy, its Dave and Sue G from Victoria writing to say hi. Glad to see you are doing so well in the entertainment biz. Hope you are doing excellent and look us up next time you are back on the island. By David G @ 08 Jul 2008 08:48 pm Hi, I've been watching The 4400 on dvd, never caught it when it was on tv, and finally made it to the start of season 4. I was a bit shocked to see that not only was your character (one of my favorites in the series) nowhere to be seen, but there was no explanation as to where the heck she went or why. So I guess my question would be, do they ever get into why she was written off the show? By Becky @ 08 Jul 2008 11:08 pm Hi Sam! Thank you very much for taking some time out to do this for us fans! I was wondering (and this may seem like an odd question!) if it is weird to shoot death scenes? Does it freak you out at all, or is it rather a fun thing to play out? Thanks a lot! Take care Alyssa xoxo By Alyssa @ 08 Jul 2008 11:59 pm Hi Sam, Thanks so much for taking the time to answer questions. My question would be, which one of the Winchester boys would you like to rescue you? By Karen @ 09 Jul 2008 02:30 am Hiya Sam! I was just wondering if you'd be willing to share the process of how you choose a role. :) Thanks for being so completely awesome! By Heather @ 09 Jul 2008 10:04 am Hi Sam! thanks again for this! It's a great idea! Loved meeting out in Chicago and Orlando! My question: What is your most memorable experience? Be it on a show (eppy) , meeting a person or anything? By Kaye @ 09 Jul 2008 11:57 am Hey Sam! Thanks for doing this!!! I was wondering with regards to Supernatural and your role as Ellen, did you feel that the mother-daughter dynamic and relationship was well executed, or were there aspects of it you felt were disserviced? By Lexie @ 09 Jul 2008 06:07 pm thanks for the questions, gang.....it is going to take some time to answer them so i am going to sit down on saturday night and go through them all....so get em in now. Sam ps....have a clearer picture about Ellen and season 4. By sam ferris @ 10 Jul 2008 11:31 am Mick Jagger once said "the hottest place in the universe is standing next to Tina Turner." Obviously, he hasn't met you. Why don't you introduce yourself to him and set the poor guy straight? If he can take the heat... By Stephan @ 10 Jul 2008 01:44 pm Hi Sam, Who would you most like to get drunk with and why? Of all the places in the world your career has taken you, where was you favourite? By Sonya @ 10 Jul 2008 01:51 pm hi sam! i was wondering if you get allong with the guys?(jensen, jared) and if you do with who you get better with ? did they ever have done a prank on you? By mimms @ 10 Jul 2008 01:57 pm Hi, Thanks so much for taking the time to do this- what projects can we look forward to seeing you in? Anything you can discuss? By Amy @ 10 Jul 2008 09:33 pm Hey Sam! Thanks for the amazing chance! Well, my question is quite simple... Since I loved your characters both in The 4400 and in Supernatural, which one is your favourite between Nina and Ellen? Why? Thanks again! By Eleonora @ 11 Jul 2008 12:30 am Great idea indeed. Well done Kim and thanks for doing this Sam. Once again you prove everyone around that you just rock! Haha you had to tempt us with that little "better idea about Ellen & S4"... are those damm writers finally coming back to their senses? I guess and it was about time. Anyway, my question would be, maybe I'll risk 2... then I have to save one for Eyecon in guess you make it back (pls pls pls): - Is there something that you've been asked to do for a role that you refused? If not, what would that be, something you'd abolutely refuse to do? (obviously not nudity... lol) - You seem to often get police/action parts (I guess that goes with you being a stron woman) but what is your prefered genre? Would you see yourself in a romantic comedy? *grins* I guess you're gonna have your hands full on saturday night... be sure to stock the fridge with enough beer to help you through the process, or invite a friend over it might be fun to have someone comment (our questions & your answers)! Until next time, take care of you and Kramer. Isabelle. By Lizz @ 11 Jul 2008 05:47 am Hey Sam, I have a few questions for you... but they're quickies I hope thats okay. 1- Favorite Song and why? 2- Favorite Album and why? 3- Fave food 4- Burn out or fade away? 5- Top 5 songs 6- Fave movie and why. 7- Fave Curse word (totally skipable :) ) I like asking these questions because it gives me insite to you. And not to your career :) ~ Bri By Bri @ 11 Jul 2008 06:52 am Hey from Russian fans! Thank you for this opportunity to ask some questions, actually there are two of them. Let’s imagine that Jo is a daughter of John Winchester. What would you say about such a turn? Do you find it’s possible? What do you think about Bobby Singer? Can he in some way replace John to the boys? By Leviong @ 11 Jul 2008 09:29 am Hi Sam.....Love your work, and thanks for doing this for us! And, for the teaser on SPN season 4...we miss Ellen! Okay.....I love this question because it really tells a lot about people....you're stuck on an hours-long transatlantic flight---what two people are you sitting between (present or past) and what do you talk to them about while they're your captive audience? By sandi @ 11 Jul 2008 08:24 pm This is a wonderful thing for you to do Sam! Thank you! If not too personal, can you tell us a little about your family & upbringing. How many sibs, what are they involved with and how are they affected having a recognizable sib. Also, was that your son that played little Sam on Supernatural in season 1, and is acting something that you would want to support him in doing? Again, if all this is too personal, then no problem, I understand. Thanks again. By Kathy @ 12 Jul 2008 12:05 am Oooo questions....! Just happened to catch you on the Season 2 finale of Stargate SG-1! (I'm a late bloomer on the show) So now I am curious. Are you really a blonde or a brunette? :P By Gloria Oliver @ 12 Jul 2008 04:54 pm Hi Sam! First, thank you for taking the time to answer fan questions. Second, I would like to know what type of music you enjoy. And, what was the best concert you ever attended? Thank you, Lindsay By LindsayW @ 12 Jul 2008 05:25 pm Oh Sam! If there was ever any doubt as to how totally cool you are, then your willingness to do this proves it. Here are a few strange and random questions... all in an effort to get a glimpse and insight into you. :))) = Name a household chore you actually enjoy = Complete this phrase: "I’ll never forget my first _____": = What did you do in high school for extra curricular activities? = What age would you retire if you had enough money and how would spend retirement? = If you weren’t acting, what other job would you be happy doing? And please tell us about SN... no fair teasing us like that :-D Love ya... {hugs} By ~ Anna ~ @ 12 Jul 2008 07:31 pm wow.....lots to work on here.....however, you may have to wait a day or two longer...i know! I'm sorry!! I just got a big audition last night for monday morning and it's a lot of pages to learn. I want to kick ass so i am spending the weekend on my lines, Okay? Have looked at schedule and i promise that i will sit down on monday night and answer them...providing i don't have a big audition the next day. See you then. Sam By sam ferris @ 12 Jul 2008 07:39 pm Hey Sam! I've already asked my question, but I just wanted to say don't worry about replying too soon...We rabid fans can wait! You'll always kick ass, but good luck anyway for the audition! Take care Alyssa xoxo By Alyssa @ 13 Jul 2008 08:48 am Hey Sam, Good luck (or am I supposed to say break a leg?) on the audition! We'll wait but of course you'll have to tell us how the audition went too! Here's to hoping you get the part and have as many audtitions as you can deal with! Be safe and most importantly... have fun! By Shadow @ 13 Jul 2008 09:10 am Hey Sam, I already asked you my question but most the important that your job is come first! We can be patience. Don't worry about the question. DON'T BE SORRY! We still love you and always support you! I just want to said good luck on the audition! GO FOR IT! oxox&hugs, Elisa By Elisa @ 13 Jul 2008 06:33 pm Sam!! Don't you dare apologize to us for working!! We're more than happy that you can drop us for such a good reason... giving us a possibility to see more of you on screen!! I guess it's behind you know... still no answer so I'll take that you kicked a$$ and that they wanted to see more!! Go!! And you know us, we'll be there waiting ;) XX Isabelle. By Lizz @ 16 Jul 2008 03:04 pm Oh Sam! Family and work come first. And you don't need to apologize for that -- not one bit! When you have the time to answer some of our questions, we'll be here waiting for you :))) In the meantime, good luck on that audition. Gosh, what a nerve-wracking process! How can you stand it? (and no, that's not another question -- just rhetorical!) ;) By ~ Anna ~ @ 17 Jul 2008 12:45 am
