Hiya!

Hey y'all, Sorry...been a while....i have only just reappeared back into my normal life and haven't really had a chance to catch my breath yet. Aaaaahhhhhhh. There. Wow. That was a long time away from home. Out of the last 8 weeks i think i was home about 10 days....something like that. My house is a mess, the garden is overgrown and my baby boy has missed me horribly. He is sitting on my feet as we speak. I washed my back porch just now and used bleach and for some reason he is crazy about bleach. It's like catnip for him. Weird, huh? He is having a very serious conversation with my left foot right now.....ouch, need to clip the toenails! His...not mine. You know when you have so much to do that you don't even know where to start? Well, that is where i am at right now, but basking in the glory of what is mine...MY house, MY bed, MY car, MY cat....you get the idea. Having said that i still have to take off this weekend. I own a bit of property in a rural area of British Columbia and need to go and check in on it. It is beautiful and quiet there....lakes and mountains everywhere....we just need better weather....good god, it is still cold here! Rest of the shoot on Impact went well. Lovely people. Sad to see them go. They were very long days but it was a good time and i hung around with two other actors (Michael Kopsa and Ron Lea) and we had a ton of laughs. The acting work looks a little bleak at the moment; SAG is gearing up for the big actors strike in the US so everything has gone on hold until then. David James Elliot seems to thing that the strike is a done deal....just a matter of how long it goes out for. Thought maybe the writers strike would have scared everyone away from a strike, but people have to fight for what they believe in i guess....it just didn't work out so great for the writers in the end, i wonder if this is all for naught??? No official word yet on the convention in Montreal in October, but i'll let you know when i do. Must run.....catch the store before it closes. Won't leave it so long next time. Hope you are well. xo
Hey Sam! Great hearing from you again! I know I was kind of getting a bit worried... Glad to hear that the shoot has gone well, and that you're able to spend some quality time with Kramer. I know that those of us who follow the entertainment news here in America are starting to dread the possibility of another strike starting up... but I supported the writers, and will support the actors in this. I hope to see you around at another con soon ;) By Rich @ 24 Jun 2008 09:21 pm Glad to hear you had a good time on set. Hopefully you'll be able to relax for a few days. Enjoy House and Home - and cat. By Stef @ 24 Jun 2008 09:37 pm Hey Sam! Glad to hear the shoot was fun, and that you're back home enjoying some peace and quiet! Poor Kramer...He should be very happy now that you're back though! I also thought that the writers' strike would deter another one from happening...But of course, I'll support the actors in whatever decision they'll make! I'm actually visiting Vancouver right now, over from England. I've already been here a week, and I'm loving it! I can't believe I only have a week left here...You are very lucky to live in such a nice place (and believe me, I can still say that after seeing the worst parts of Van). Take care, and have a well-earned break, Alyssa xoxo By Alyssa @ 25 Jun 2008 01:03 am Hi Sam! Glad to hear the shoot does well. I'm glad that you're back home and spend some quality time with Kramer. How cute that Kramer playing around your left foot. THAT'S SO FUNNY! Same as me that my dog love to playing with my sock when I wear it. He try pull my sock out of my foot. I told him "NO". He subborn boy. But it was funny. Anyway, I hope you enjoying to busy your house and cat. I hope your weather will get warm soon! SMILE... Take care & hugs, Elisa By Elisa @ 25 Jun 2008 11:43 am Welcome home! Isn't it a great feeling? Glad the shoot went well - can't wait to see it! Give Kramer lots of cyber-pats for us... he deserves it! =) By Karie @ 25 Jun 2008 11:58 am Hi Sam Nice to hear you're getting a break. It sounds like it'll be a busy one. Hope the weather picks up for you, it's too changeable over here in the UK and not really like summer. Glad filming went well. Sorry the looming strike is affecting you. Trouble with strikes is that the people on strike rarely gain very much and everyone around them suffers. With the credit crunch affecting businesses they'll use it as an excuse to give nothing away. It's strange that while the bosses say there's no money for the workers they always seem to find enough for their own pockets!!! I supported the writers, so I'll support the actors but hope it won't take too long. Take care and cuddles to Kramer. By Sonya @ 25 Jun 2008 02:53 pm Sam! Glad to hear from you! It's been awhile, but that's alright. Eight weeks is a long time to be gone... But at least you get some down time now right? I bet Kramer is very happy to see you... And I thought being away from home for a week in Mexico with my cousins was a long time... Not really now that I think about it... Glad the rest of the shoot went well for you... Still cold up there in B.C? The Pacific Northwest is just starting to warm up... About time too... I was starting to think summer would never come... It's been such a cold spring... What with late snow, rain, wind and even a rare tornado or two... Global warming... Can't wait to hear about the con! As always best of luck in everything you do! Okay... Ya me voy, ~Melissa~ By Melissa @ 25 Jun 2008 05:07 pm Hey Sam! Good to hear from ya darl. Maybe time off is good? You can relax, enjoy that new property, bask in all that is wonderfully BC. Too bad the actors are going on strike. Thats no good for anyone, I mean at least when the writers went on strike it meant that other writers could do more, maybe, kinda, sorta! But... this doesn't seem so good. Does that mean that all the actors have to go on strike, including yourself? Sorry for all the questions. Enjoy being home, especially when you don't know how long you'll be there for. ~Brianna By Brianna @ 25 Jun 2008 08:46 pm It's good to know that my cat is not insane. Every time I wipe off the counters with a cleaner with bleach he ends up rolling all over them and rubbing his cheeks on them. And the strike thing...really really sucks. :( Glad your safe and happy at home, hope you get better weather to visit your property. By Malevolent @ 25 Jun 2008 09:55 pm Hello Sam! Long time fan just now finding this site through the recomendation of a friend. Glad to know you had a good run of filming... what with the strike on the horizon. Frankly I think the strike has about the worst timing they could have. I had a few friends who had to suffer through the writer's strike, and they're not looking forward to the actor's strike. So I wish you the best of luck with that... it's hard enough to find work as it is! I can honestly say I'd rather be in your area of the world right now, I'm down near Los Angeles and it's been a cruel and hot couple of weeks. My animals are not happy with the weather as of late. Enjoy your home stay even if it is brief, and remember to just take one task at a time! best of luck. By Dana @ 29 Jun 2008 06:25 pm Hey there! Late getting back over here, but I'm glad to see you safe home. :-) Yeah, nothing like that big "ahhhh" of being snug in your own space in the world. LOL, and Kramer is a nut. I had a cat who loved the smell of cleansers on my hands, too. Just ... weird. Per the strike ... *sighh* I lived and breathed the WGA strike, supporting the writers in the interests of "Supernatural." (I'm usually totally a-political about such things.) Now with the spectre of another one, I already feel exhausted. I feel so bad for folks like you who just want to *work*, and I have to wonder what the hell will be left of the entertainment industry, this time. Anyhow, I'm kinda keeping my head in the sand for now. The messages I hear and read are so damn mixed, I don't know *what* is gonna happen. That's just me as a consumer. I can't imagine how it must look for you actors. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, futile though the gesture may be. Meanwhile, best of luck to you, m'lady! Enjoy and relax. :-) ~ Gloria By Gloria / ErinRua @ 02 Jul 2008 07:54 pm Hey Sam, I just want said Happy 4th of July! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. ENJOY DRINK A BEER during 4th of July! SMILE... oxoxo & hugs, Elisa By Elisa @ 04 Jul 2008 10:35 am GLAD TO HEAR ONE IS HOME, WILL YOU BE BACK FOR THE 4TH SEASON OF SN ? IF SO WHICH EPPI WILL YOU BE BACK ? FROM NIKY ( nikykil@yahoo.co.uk OR norkil@aol.com) By NIKY @ 07 Jul 2008 09:50 am A VERY BELATED HAPPY 4TH JULY 08 FROM ME A UK FAN OF SN & TO ALL FANS AROUND THE WORLD ! By niky @ 07 Jul 2008 09:51 am I can't wait to know if you'll go in Montreal^____^ It's so difficult to go in conventions in the United State...Montreal it only on the other side of the bridge^____^ By Katie @ 07 Jul 2008 10:42 pm Hi Sam, What`s the deal with Montreal ? Is there a convention ? If so wish you`ll be there, I live but a few minutes away so I `ll be there for sure !!! By Annie Qc,Canada @ 08 Jul 2008 08:17 am Jees girl, your blogs are so damn funny. I'm just catching up with them. Cat's and bleach, mine's the same, what the feck is that about. Mine practically chews my hand off if I've been cleaning within a yard of the stuff! Strange furry creatures :) As for "Mr British won't give you the time off day". OMG that's soooo funny. You gave him your lighter and he spoke to you. It's like behind the bike sheds at school. As for the British couple knockin back beers, GO ON THE BRITS, yeh we now how to party! Thinking of taking a trip to Vancouver this year so if you want me to go check your house ;o) Plenty of room for parties is there? Haha! Glad things are going well for you. Enjoy your next convention. They all love you out there :) Stay cool (apart from when Mr British is around) xxx By Carol @ 09 Jul 2008 03:27 am
